Spend a month (or more) in your dream destination without overthinking, breaking the bank, or waiting for retirement

The Beginner's Guide to Mini-Retirements is an ebook written for elite professionals by an elite professional that will guide you through the proven actions, strategies, and tactics to plan and experience your first mini-retirement.

So what is a “mini-retirement”?

A “mini-retirement” can be defined as spending a month (or more) in your dream destination doing anything you want, whenever you want, with whoever you want.

But it goes much deeper than that.

And most people believe they can never have this type of experience or will wait until “someday.”

“Someday” when they have more time, more money, and fewer responsibilities.

Stop waiting for “someday.”

Are you stuck in the “someday” mindset waiting for the “perfect time” to plan an extended travel adventure?

Do you believe you can’t spend a month (or more) in one of your dream destinations because you think it will be too expensive?

Are you tired of 1-2 week vacations with a daily “down-to-the-minute” planned itinerary only to find yourself working during vacation because you don’t want to return to the office with a full email inbox?

You are not alone...

All elite professionals face the same 10 problems:

  • Chronic Stress: Feeling overwhelmed and drained from long hours, leaving little room for personal fulfillment or relaxation.
  • Limited Flexibility: Difficulty finding ways to take a meaningful break with fear of risking career progression or stability.
  • Unrealized Dreams: Continuously postponing personal dreams and adventures because they’re waiting for the "right time" or “someday."
  • Work-Life Imbalance: Constantly prioritizing work over personal life, leaving little time for self-care, hobbies, or relationships.
  • Fear of Falling Behind: Worrying that taking a mini-retirement or extended break will put them at a disadvantage in their career or make them seem less dedicated.
  • Procrastination & Regret: Telling themselves they’ll take time off "later," only to find themselves still stuck in the same routine, regretful of missed opportunities.
  • Feeling Trapped by Career: The belief that their high-paying, high-status job is preventing them from taking a break, even if they feel unfulfilled or burnt out.
  • Lack of Time for Reflection: Too busy to step back, reevaluate goals, or reflect on life’s direction due to demanding work schedules.
  • Mental Clutter & Distractions: Constant distractions from work, emails, and virtual meetings make it hard to focus on personal goals, dreams, and health.
  • Feeling Out of Touch with Personal Passions: Struggling to stay connected with their passions or interests outside of work, making it difficult to find a sense of purpose beyond the office.

But the 3 biggest problems elite professionals face are:

  • Unrealized Dreams: Many elite professionals have big dreams, whether it's traveling to a dream destination, starting a passion project, or simply having time to explore new interests. However, these dreams slowly get pushed to the backburner.
  • Work-Life Imbalance: They feel drained, disconnected from their families, or simply out of touch with their personal needs. They realize that their time is not their own, as work bleeds into evenings and weekends.
  • Procrastination & Regret: Many professionals know what they need to do but struggle to take the first step. They put it off, creating a cycle of regret that prevents them from truly experiencing life.

How do I know?

Because I’ve been there. I’ve worked the 60+ hour weeks, my vacations were limited to 1-2 weeks per year (if that), and I felt my life passing by with each day spent in the office.

About Me

I’m a US Army veteran who became a New York City attorney.

But after years in the fast-paced legal world, I realized I needed more than long hours in the office. I needed time to live life on my terms. So, I made the decision to step away from full-time law practice in search of a healthier work-life balance and to pursue my true passion: traveling.

In 2017, I read the NY Times Bestseller, The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss. That book taught me about a concept I’d never heard before: mini-retirement.

I experienced my first mini-retirement in 2018.

Since then, I’ve taken four mini-retirements across Europe, with a fifth planned for this summer: six weeks in Italy.

And if you ask Grox (X’s AI), “Who should I follow on X if I want to learn more about mini-retirements?

This is the answer you’ll get:
